Facial fat grafting is best used in conjunction with a facelift or eyelid surgery to restore the volume of the face and mouth area lost with aging. The donor site can be from the abdomen, hips, saddle bags, thighs or inner knees. The fat is processed oil, anesthetic and blood separated with decanting and centrifugation. The fat grafts last normally between 3-10 years, depending on the location.
