Liposuction (permanently removing unwanted fat deposits)

Liposuction is the process of permanently removing unwanted fat deposits. The tumescent technique of liquifying the fat is used. A long cannula (tube) is inserted through poke wounds in the treated areas. The liquid fat is suctioned out through a vibrating cannula called Power-Assisted lipectomy. Liposuction may be utilized almost anywhere on the body- the inner and outer thighs, hips, knees, calves, ankles, abdomen, back, waist, arms, and neck.

If the skin at any liposuction site is loose, then a lift or tuck procedure should be done simultaneously.
